Syracuse Community Health Center to seek coverage for uninsured children. Staff writer Some of Onondaga County's estimated 7,500 uninsured children will be able to get immediate Medicaid coverage under a program being launched next week by the Syracuse Community Health Center. The center is participating in a new federal program that allows it to temporarily enroll children in Medicaid before their families complete an application and the county approves it.
